Pumpkin Show Break begins with a 2-hour early release on Friday, October 16, and will continue through Friday, October 23. Classes resume on Monday, October 26.

Hat Day is October 16!
Wear your favorite hat while supporting a great cause. Donations collected during Hat Day will benefit the Different Abilities Summit in Spring 2027.
The school with the largest percentage of donations per enrollment will be recognized at the Summit, so every contribution makes a difference!
Our preschool classes had some special guests visit today: Haley and Mr. Malakai!
Haley, a pet care professional, brought Malakai along to help our preschoolers learn how to interact with dogs safely and kindly. Through a fun, hands-on presentation, the children learned about dog body language, safe interactions, and the importance of respecting boundaries and consent—with Malakai helping demonstrate along the way!
Fun fact: Haley is PM Preschooler Violet's mom!

4th grade families, mark your calendars! We will travel around the world through music for the 4th grade music program on Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 6:40 pm.

Our preschoolers had a wonderful time on their field trip to Lohstroh Family Farms! The fall weather was perfect for picking pumpkins! 🎃
Our kindergarten and first-grade students had a special visit from firefighters from the Southwest Pickaway Fire District in Williamsport!
The firefighters taught our students about fire safety and shared information to help them stay safe. Students also had the chance to see what a firefighter looks like in protective gear and explore the tools and equipment on a fire truck.
We are grateful to the Southwest Pickaway Fire District for taking the time to visit with our students and provide such a fun and educational experience!

This morning, our state-bound Boys Golf Team stopped by for a special visit and got high-fives and well wishes from staff and students before heading to Firestone Country Club in Akron to compete this weekend. Good luck and Go Mustangs!

Theme: “Unleash your savings Superpowers!”
K-5th grade will design their very own superhero.
6th-12th grade will design a collage about what success means to them.
Winners in each grade category (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) will receive a $25 gift card. Open to all students—no ACU membership required! Be sure to pick up your entry form at the Student-Run branch on Friday!

This year, our buildings are teaming up to host an Operation Christmas Child donation drive now through Nov. 5! Donate toys, school supplies, hygiene items, toys, and accessories at your building's main offices, FFA, NHS, or Student Council classrooms. Help us make a difference!
Mrs. Wiater's first-grade class put our community garden to use by making homemade marinara sauce!
They learned how plants grow and how to harvest them, while also exploring the difference between solids and liquids as they smashed and cooked the tomatoes for their recipe.

GREAT NEWS! THE MOBILE DENTIST IS COMING BACK!
We are excited to announce that our school has once again partnered with Smile Programs, the Mobile Dentists, to offer in-school dental care. The Mobile Dentists will visit Westfall Elementary School on October 5, 6, and 7.
Dental services include a comprehensive exam, X-rays, cleaning, fluoride treatment, sealants (if necessary), and sometimes restorative care, such as fillings.

After learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and watching their classroom caterpillar become a chrysalis and emerge as a beautiful Monarch, Mrs. Woods' 2nd graders said their goodbyes and released their new friend into the world. Safe travels!
A few of our WHS football players stopped by Mrs. Woods' class last week to read to her students! Having student-athletes in the classroom gives our young Mustangs positive role models to look up to and aspire to be like as they grow.
