Mrs. Stonerock’s 2nd-grade class participated in a STEM activity called “Save Fred” on Friday. Students worked together to rescue Fred, a gummy worm, from his overturned boat (a cup). They had to place a Life Saver gummy life preserver around Fred and get him safely back into his boat without using their hands.
Students were limited to using only four paper clips to move the items, encouraging them to work today and try different strategies to see what worked best. In the end, Fred was very thankful to be saved by our quick-thinking rescuers!

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who helped water, weed, and care for our community garden during the summer months. Thanks to their hard work, we harvested twice, donated fresh produce to Westfall Cares, and kept our garden thriving!

Westfall Elementary Mustangs Student-Run Credit Union Members reached their annual goal of 500 deposits this school year! As a special treat for meeting the goal, four randomly selected members were chosen to enter the "Cash Reactor!"
The Cash Reactor works like a Game Show Money Booth. The four members have a 30-second round to enter the Reactor and catch as much flying cash as possible! Whatever "cash" (ACU uses green paper "dollars" in the machine for safety purposes) the member catches will be generously donated to their account.
Congratulations to Ellie Osborn (1st grade), Cooper Dutcher (2nd grade), Kate Cantor (3rd grade), and Dax Davey (4th grade)! Their winnings spanned from $41-58!
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our student tellers for all their hard work in helping reach this goal this year, as well as a special thanks to Director of Financial Education Andy Eisnaugle and Student-Run Manager Jordan Stepp from ACU for visiting us yesterday!

Preschool students planted vegetables in the elementary garden yesterday! They had a great time being outside spreading soil, planting vegetables, and getting their hands dirty! Great job!
