Miss Haberthier and Miss Holbert's preschoolers recently celebrated their 100th day of school in style! Students dressed for the occasion—arriving as wise, gray-haired, glasses-wearing, cane-carrying 100-year-olds—and spent the day working on fun, 100-themed crafts and lessons. What a fun way to celebrate a big milestone!
Our first-graders have received a ton of Valentines from all across the U.S. and even the world! To reach our goal of collecting Valentines from all 50 states, we still need cards or letters from Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Oklahoma, Utah, and Louisiana.

CURRENT Kindergarten Families: Due to the screening process for prospective 2025-2026 kindergarten students, there will be NO SCHOOL for all current kindergarten students on Friday, April 11, and Friday, April 25. Preschool and Grades 1-5 will continue as scheduled.
Order your yearbook today! Order forms have been sent home with students and can be returned with cash (exact change) or check written to Westfall Elementary School. Families can also order online at ybpay.com with the ID Code: 14021925. Orders are due on March 24.
If you have a child who will be five years old on or before July 31, 2025, they are eligible to attend Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. Please call the Westfall Elementary Office at (740) 986-4008 to schedule an appointment.
Save the Date! Westfall Elementary's DARE Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, March 28, at 1:30 PM to ensure all participating 5th-grade students are recognized for their efforts. Families are welcome to attend this event.
SAVE THE DATE: The 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held on Monday, May 19, at 9:15 AM to ensure that all 5th-graders are recognized for their hard work. A breakfast reception hosted by Westfall CIA and WES Principals will be held immediately following the ceremony.
Career Day is returning on Friday, May 16, and we are looking for volunteers to demonstrate their professions. This is a great opportunity to share your work and inspire the next generation!

Mrs. Whitt and Mrs. Persinger's third-grade class just finished a unit on the human body systems in English Language Arts (ELA). To practice their new skills, they transformed the classroom into an emergency room, with each student taking on the role of a medical professional. With patient files in hand, they checked on their patients, traveling through seven different stations to test their knowledge of the human body systems. They had a blast!

Westfall Elementary Mustangs Student-Run Credit Union Members reached their annual goal of 300 deposits this school year! As a special treat for meeting the goal, three randomly selected members were chosen on Friday to enter the "Cash Reactor!"
The Cash Reactor works like a Game Show Money Booth. The three members have a 30-second round to enter the Reactor and catch as much flying cash as possible! Whatever "cash" (Atomic uses Monopoly money in the machine for safety reasons) the member catches will be generously donated to their account.
Congratulations to Mila Howland (Kindergarten), Cooper Dutcher (1st grade), and Brooklyn Steward (5th grade)! Their winnings spanned from $30 - $36!

Our second-grade classes had some very special guests on Friday! Two amazing volunteers from the Pickaway County Dog Shelter and a Deputy Dog Warden stopped by to share their important work and gave students helpful tips on safely approaching a dog.
The highlight of the visit? Meeting Leia, an 8-year-old shelter guest who stole everyone's hearts! Thank you to our visitors for teaching the students about kindness and responsible pet interactions.

GREAT NEWS! THE MOBILE DENTIST IS COMING BACK!
We are excited to announce that our school has once again partnered with Smile Programs, the Mobile Dentists, to offer in-school dental care. The Mobile Dentists will visit Westfall Elementary School on March 26-27.
The dental services provided include a complete exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride, sealants (if necessary), and sometimes restorative care, such as fillings. Help keep your child healthy, in school, and learning!
