Westfall High School students had the opportunity to experience the dangers of distracted and impaired driving firsthand through the Save A Life Tour, an initiative sponsored by Pickaway County Safe Communities.
Following an informative video presentation, students engaged with a driving simulator that realistically simulated the distractions of real-world driving. In one simulation, students held a cell phone and tried to respond to texts while driving on the road. On the other, students wore a virtual reality headset and had to drive at varied impairment levels, making driving more difficult.
The Save A Life Tour is a comprehensive safe driving awareness program designed to educate participants on the potentially deadly consequences of fatigued, distracted, and impaired driving. Thank you to Pickaway County Public Health for providing our students with this unique opportunity!
