During National School Lunch Week, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our school nutrition professionals. Now more than ever, their efforts have been vital to ensuring children get the nutrition they need.
Recently, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is extending flexibilities to allow free breakfast and lunch to continue to be available to all Westfall students through June 2021. This unprecedented move is part of USDA's unwavering commitment to ensuring all children across America have access to nutritious food as the nation recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Girls Middle School Basketball Tryouts
8th Grade- October 26th-28th from 3:30-5:15 in the elementary school gym
7th grade- October 26th right after school until 4:30 in the middle school gym
8th Grade Players will need to walk over as a group to the elementary after school. First official practice will be Thursday, October 29.
In order to try out, all girls must have an updated physical on file and have all of their final forms filled out. Players must arrive in a mask and all COVID-19 protocols will be followed. Please bring your own labeled water bottle. Practice schedules and other basketball information will be given out after tryouts are completed.

Westfall Middle School will be hosting Virtual & Teleconference Parent / Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 20 from 2:30 - 8:30. 7th GRADE: After-school on October 26th in the MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM
8th GRADE: After-school on October 26th at the ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GYM
HIGH SCHOOL: October 23rd, 10 AM-12 PM, October 24th, 10 AM-12 PM, and October 26th, 3 PM-5 PM (all at HIGH SCHOOL GYM). High schoolers: Attendance at all three try-out dates is preferred, but if you're unable to make it all three, please contact coach Zane Miller to let him know.

Per Sheriff Radcliff, this morning's incident regarding the possibility of a juvenile abduction has been resolved at this time. There is no longer a concern for the Westfall community. We'd like to thank the deputies and detectives for their work clearing up this matter.
Our updated menu will begin on Monday, September 28. Reminder, ALL Westfall students will receive breakfast and lunch at no charge due to a change in policy by the USDA through December 31, 2020.

Please make sure you check your email from Lifetouch to receive online ordering information for pictures next week. Online students will be able to come in and have their pictures taken from 7:30 am to 8:30 am on either Monday, 9/21, or Friday 9/25.
During this time, any Middle School student who is 100% online can pick up their math book at school when you come in for pictures. They will be available on both Monday and Friday from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.
The first interim ends on 9/18 and will be mailed home on 9/25.
Make sure you are logging into your Google Classrooms and filling out your attendance form every school day that you are not here at Westfall.
