SAVE THE DATE! Preschool Graduation is coming up on Thursday, May 25, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Join us to celebrate the development of these young learners!

Westfall Elementary is celebrating the promotion of our 5th-grade class with a "Parade Down Memory Lane" on Thursday, May 18, at 6:00 PM.
Parents/Guardians are asked to decorate their vehicles to celebrate their student's accomplishments, park in the high school parking lot between 5:15 PM and 5:45 PM, and remain in their vehicles until Pickaway County Resource Officers begin to direct vehicles to their parade positions. The 5th-Grade DARE officer will lead the parade of cars from the high school parking lot, behind the football stadium, and weave through to the elementary lot.
Each student will receive an individualized yard sign, a 5th-grade memory book, and a "Westfall Memory Keepsake" bag to hold gifts received from each grade level (PK-5) as they drive through the parade in the front area parking lot. In addition, they will each have their name individually celebrated with a certificate of promotion at the end of the parade line.
After the parade, families are welcome to visit the memory station in the front parking lot of the Elementary School (Bus parking lot) to socialize and take photos with their students.
We look forward to celebrating the class of 2030 with you!

Access to high-speed internet is critical to learning for today’s students, and the State of Ohio is working to ensure every Ohioan has access to it. But, to make this a reality, #BroadbandOhio needs your help.
Participate in this BroadbandOhio Internet Access Survey. Your responses will help ensure those in the Westfall district have access to affordable high-speed internet. The survey closes on Thursday, May 3.

Are you afraid of thunderstorms? Author Patricia Polacco was until her grandma taught her how to bake Thundercake! Who knew literacy could taste so good? Miss Stage's second-grade students got to bite into a good book by baking their very own Thundercake!

Mrs. Woods' second-grade students recently completed a Goldilocks STEM project, which included comparing stories, measurements, and the engineering and design process. First, students had to design a bed for Goldilocks using certain materials (cardboard rolls, index cards, pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, cotton balls, glue, and tape). Next, they built their design, tested it to see if it was big enough and strong enough for Goldilocks, and made improvements if not. Then, they tried to see if it was big and strong enough for a mama or a papa bear. Finally, students measured the length, height, and width of the bed they built.

March Math-ness! Throughout the month of March, Mrs. Woods' second-grade class played two weekly basketball-themed math games. At the end of the month, they filled out a bracket with the activities and voted to see which activities moved to the final four, final two, and finally, the champion! Math skills included addition, subtraction, place value, money, time, fractions, comparing, and graphing. The students then wrote about their favorite game!

As a testing incentive, Mrs. Kemp and Mrs. Rader's fifth-grade classes enjoyed an outdoor obstacle course organized by our occupational therapists, Mrs. Conley and Miss Minor! Working as teams, the classes competed with activities using strength, stability, and endurance.

The Easter Bunny made a stop at Westfall Elementary last week! Our students had an egg-cellent time hunting eggs in the beautiful weather, and several lucky winners found golden eggs to win prizes! Thank you to our incredible Student Council for sponsoring this event!
