So proud to have the DARE program in our fifth-grade classes! Deputy Bowers does a great job working with our students on the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) curriculum, keeping them engaged and learning while having fun. DARE teaches students to resist peer pressure, the importance of good decision-making, and how to live productive, drug and violence-free lives.

The Bookmobile is here!

Candy Gram sales are booming!! $1.00 each! Get yours before Friday!

To help get in the Valentine's Day mood, Mrs. Kemp's 5th-graders did a candy heart experiment. Students predicted whether candy hearts would sink or float in water, soda, and vinegar. The hearts sank in the water and vinegar. But, when placed in soda, they floated to the top!

Congratulations to our January REAL Mustangs!!

Mrs. Woods' class had a delicious introduction to Opinion Writing last week with an Oreo Taste Test! Which was their favorite Oreo, and why? Their writing had to have a beginning, middle, and end. Students stated their opinion, gave reasons to support their thoughts with examples in the middle, and restated their opinion again to sum them up.

Last week, Mrs. Woods' 2nd-grade class created Happy Hearts. Five blank hearts were sent home for each family to add kind messages. Each day this week, a new heart will be placed on each student's desk for them to read and enjoy!
