Mrs. Wippel's second graders have been practicing The 7 Habits of Happy Kids, based on Sean Covey's work, and they're already making great strides! What are the 7 Habits, you may ask?
1. Be Proactive: Taking initiative and making positive choices.
2. Begin With the End in Mind: Setting goals and planning ahead.
3. Put First Things First: Prioritizing tasks and focusing on what matters.
4. Think Win-Win: Creating solutions that benefit everyone.
5. Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood: Listening to understand rather than reply.
6. Synergize: Working together as a team.
7. Sharpen the Saw: Taking care of themselves physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Mrs. Wippel's students set goals for themselves each week, and their hard work is showing! Congratulations to those who earned special rewards for achieving their personal goals this week!

Join the WHS Football Cheer Squad for "Cheerleader for a Day!" Preschool - 8th grade students will get the full game-day experience, cheering with the varsity cheerleaders as the Mustangs take on Paint Valley. For more information and to sign up, visit https://bit.ly/3z4l4jE.
Please see the Preschool Car Rider Update, which starts tomorrow, September 10.
We ask that all preschool families park at the front of the school for morning drop-off, assist their preschoolers out of the car, and walk them to their teacher, who will be waiting by the flagpole. If you are dropping off an older sibling who also attends WES, they may walk up with you and be guided from there.
We hope this slight change in traffic will improve efficiency and reduce congestion during morning drop-off.
Congratulations to Kinsley Steward for earning 1st place in the state with her amazing poster from this past spring! Her artwork is now headed to the national competition!

Our PBIS Assemblies are always fun! The students cheered on Mrs. Patterson and Mrs. Wolfe as they took the stage in inflatable suits to tackle an obstacle course! Jumping Jacks, the chicken dance, and hopscotch, oh my! Their energy and enthusiasm won the competition, and it was a perfect way to celebrate positive behavior goals. Let's keep the positivity going strong!
